We are thrilled
to invite you to our June Bay Area Chapter event. Please join us for an unforgettable day in
the breathtaking Napa Valley.
Spring Wine
Country Soirée
Friday, June 7, 2024 |
10:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m.
Our journey begins at Eleven
Eleven Winery. We will be hosted by Founder and CEO Ellie Anest who will
take us on a tour of her beautiful winery and enlighten us about her unique
business model. We will taste through Eleven Eleven’s exquisite wines and have
a morning walk along their stunning vineyards that are set against a backdrop
of the beautiful Vaca mountains.
Next, we will
head a few miles away to take a guided private Walking Tour of
CIA Copia. Step into the Chuck
Williams Culinary Arts Museum and be transported to another time when the
great chefs of Europe were creating beautiful and practical items to make their
culinary masterpieces. With more than 4,000 artifacts of specialty cookware,
bread baking and culinary tools, appliances, and tableware the exhibit will
intrigue and fascinate you. A variety of art can be found throughout the Copia
property, statues by artist Gordon Huether, The Wine Hall of Fame collection,
various paintings, and “The Garden” mural by Hueman. We will also explore CIA
Copia’s culinary gardens, Colavita olive grove, and visit the
fabulous Hestan kitchens for a behind the scenes glimpse of culinary
arts and education at work at the world’s premier school for chefs, CIA.
Getting hungry? Next, we will visit the White House Inn
for an elegant lunch in their poolside gardens. The White House Inn is a
refined interpretation of California’s Wine Country blended with grand history
and modern design, created with the effortless ability of an experienced
vintner.
Finally, at 3pm we will
visit Ackerman Heritage House, a stunning Victorian mansion and estate,
originally built by a woman in 1889 and exquisitely furnished with stunning
period antiques and curated collections. We will be joined by founder and CEO Lauren
Ackerman for a private tour, wine tasting, and afternoon tea paired with a
few delectable savory bites.
Due to the total cost of
this event and exclusivity of these private activities, there will be a $200
charge for attending. The remaining costs will be covered by the Bay Area WCD
Chapter. The $200 will be collected at the time of registration.

Important
information:
- Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes – we will
be walking outside at a few of the locations on somewhat uneven surfaces.
Sunscreen and a hat may be wise if it’s a sunny day.
- Uber/ride services are difficult to
procure and wait times can be lengthy – suggest hiring a driver or
designating one in your group. See below for local transportation
suggestions. Uber can also book a driver if you reserve for the day in
advance. We have a shortage of drivers in Napa – so plan ahead.
- Pets and small children are not allowed on
winery premises due to safety concerns.
